For me, this internship was very intriguing to me as it was the first time I got to look at and work with global finance and look at global trade and the effects on global markets of different economics factors and different economic pressures and this made it very interesting for me.
I think the highlight of my experience in China was the fact that I actually arrived in China and spent 3 months alone in a foreign country with so much to do and see while completing my internship. My colleagues at work were very friendly and supportive, I felt welcomed. I really wanted to explore China during my stay, though I didn’t get to so enough, the cultural activities and trips I participated in organized by Go Abroad China were really fun. I hope in the future I can return to continue my journey through China.
I wanted that international experience on my CV, so I applied for an internship through Go Abroad China which I found on a popular jobs and internship advertising website. I was looking for a role that would challenge me while also providing the professional skills and experience I needed to advance in my field, which is Business. I was able to get a good startup company in Shanghai, where I was allowed to work on various tasks and assist the various departments in the company. Go Abroad china were really assistive in getting me settled when I arrived and checking up on me during my internship program. Ive come home now and this valuable international experience on my CV has proved beneficial whenever I search for jobs.
I applied for an internship in China through Go Abroad China after comparing various agencies. The two factors that influenced my choice were the cost and internship role, so after looking through the different roles, I was offered, I decided to apply through Go Abroad China and I admit my program went smoothly just as I wanted. My accommodation was sorted and I was able to easily create a bank account and find my way to my internship with the help of GAC. Though the language barrier proved to be an issue during my stay, I got to learn mandarin which proved useful during my stay.
My jobb was engaging. I worked on delivering on a regulatory reports, some data entries to compliance departments, supporting regulatory analysis of draft laws and some clerical duties. Go Abroad China found me a position that really offered all i was looking for in an internship.
I enjoyed my work I enjoyed going to work, I felt I was doing something valuable and worthwhile. I really miss it all now that I have returned back home. I worked on the front desk in the reception of one of the most popular hotel, The Marriott Hotel in Beijing China and worked in every department in the hotel. It was a really great experience.
My internship was great. Even though the job tasks were not inline with my career field, I was able to develop tasks that enabled me gain new skills and contribute positively to the business. The staffs and manager were really friendly and wanted to make sure I was getting the experience I needed. I really appreciate the support I got from my Go Abroad China mentor who provided valuable advice and assistance to during my internship.
My internship was really engaging and worthwhile. I had a supervisor that really cared about my professional development and growth. I was also able to make great friends with my coworkers who were always open to help whenever i needed.
The internship placement was like nothing I expected. I must admit, I was a little suspicious at first, as I had never been abroad on programmes such as this one. My suspicion was quickly removed after I had my first Skype interview with the programme coordinators and then another one with the company I was interning at. I am not sure I can condense my entire experience into one small review. I will therefore quickly summarise: I had the best time both in terms of work experience, cultural immersion, and getting to know new people that I will likely stay connected to for life. I learned many valuable lessons and gained an insight into the culture of Hong Kong. The programme is incredibly efficient and everything went very smoothly. I must say it was excellent, and nothing went wrong - that being said, the apartments were a little small for Western standards, but I cannot complain.
I developed personal and professional skills through my internship. My confidence has increased and The placement offered exactly what I wanted to achieve in a year in industry which made it enjoyable and made me want to go to work every day. My placement provided me with such satisfaction that i always looked forward to going into work. This satisfaction came from the fact that I knew I was working on current and upcoming landmark products and as such would gain meaningful skills and experiences that I could apply to my university work.
got an internship through Go Abroad China; they are the ones that seemed to offer what I wanted close the budget I had. I worked for a trade company based in downtown Shanghai. Doing the work experience in Shanghai was great; my team was in charge of finding clients through emails, phone calls and doing presentations. I was also involved with a lot of research about how the trade industry works and where that company should be improving. China is quite crowded but the life in Shanghai is great, if I found a job there I wouldn’t hesitate to move there. I don’t really speak Chinese but it wasn’t a problem at work since I was not the only foreigner in the company, so English was easily spoken; plus plenty of Chinese in Shanghai actually speak English! Besides that I did have several times I went out to see the town and have fun too.
I thoroughly enjoyed the two week insight. I relished the opportunity to work on live, high-value matters and felt a valued member of the team.Although stressful at times, I really enjoyed working with many different people and departments across the business, allowing me to successfully contribute to the closing of many deals.
I greatly enjoyed my hospitality internship at Winson Engineering arranged by GAC. From the first day I was made to feel very welcome, meeting with my fellow interns, and those on the current graduate scheme. The atmosphere in the office is so friendly and inviting. The work was interesting and there are many opportunities to try new things, like working on the factory belts and in other departments.
I enjoyed my Law and legal placement organised by Go Abroad China so much and was so sad to leave. It was clealy structured and i was never bored as i always had the chance to spend time with customers . I felt very welcomed and had a sense of achievement after leaving after and completing all my project.
My internship was in consulting, I was employed at a company that provided services for different kinds of businesses actually, just that the project I worked on while I was there was to do with a client involved in charity efforts.
My city of choice was Shanghai, I got to intern at a company that specialized in the import and export of large stainless steel products and machinery. I was in their marketing department. I enjoyed the work that I did, of course like any other job you need to spend some days learning how everybody works and being part of a team.
