  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Was a brilliant and rewarding experience and taught me some brilliant life skills that will stay with me

  • Was made to feel like a really important part of the team and they was always there to support me and help me grow as an employee and friend

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • You get weekly conference calls more of a catchup and an update on what's new and always congratulations on good news. They are always on the end of the phone too if you need help not just in sales with advice and tips on how to improve or overcome issues but in your personal life and general help too. They also run many group chats that can get very competitive especialy when someone is doing better than you you always feel like you want to one up everyone and show off what your capable of

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • There is always things to do. Between customers you are able to do as you wish weather it be preparing for the next or building in store relations with other members of staff. Even on the quietest days there is always things that can be done to fill the day

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • You are left in total control and left to do the job as you wish. If you wish to do the minimum then thas fine or if you want to do more you are only benefiting yourself both financially and personally. You never feel satisfied with the minimum and will always want to achieve more. It is a real feeling of self controls and empowerment

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I fell the skills I learned through Orbitsound benefited me more than my degree as it showed the real side of working in retail and taught me proper sales techniques and ways of dealing with members of public and opening, demoing and closing a customer in ways that no degree should.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It is based inside john Lewis stores and always depends who's in. I always found that I got on amazing with everyone and it was a great experience working with them and we developed as more than colleges wich helped benefit them as I was able to help support them but helped me as they would bring customers over to me and help me close sales

  • It was very well setup there are many meeting and calls to help improve you as a person and as a sales colleague and there is always an answer on how to improve and differant ways of doing things

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They invested their all in me and never gave up on me. No matter how bad I did I was never left to fend for my self I would always be approached and offer help, guidence and support.

  • It is still a fairly new company and there is massive room for growth and they are constantly expanding with their new range and has potential to be a massive company soon that will need valuable employees.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • You always have plenty of time spare to catch up with friends outside of work but will always be made to feel a valued part of the team within the store you cover

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I was able to live at home and worknat any store or my choice wich turned out to be 10 Minuit drive from my home with free parking
