The Role
The networking approach throughout the business was fantastic. Meeting new people is what this job is about. I enjoyed being part of the team as i learnt more about the business, and being taught about fantastic sound products. Training was provided by your friendly line managers. Any issues i had where dealt with quickly and confidentially.
Both HR and business managers made me felt welcomed into the business, they were pleasant and polite in dealing with a new employee. Employees within the business also seemed interested in answering my questions I had within training. Everyone was welcoming and happy, it makes a huge different when there are positives like these in an organisation.
There was specific support from day one of the job, where i had met my manager in a store and it was like I know my job role instantly, with his excellent guidance and knowledge led me to conduct fantastic role plays which where successful, and helped to make my profile better and stronger, ready for the shop floor.
I worked weekends, where at the start of the day is quiet, but I kept myself busy as there is many things by making sure products are working, stations where products are kept are clean, tidy and presentable. As the day went on, it got busier as anticipated and made sure my services were available to everyone and ensured every customer was approached. Main element was to ensure that i kept calm and focused, as during peak times the store and area became very very busy.
Quiet a lot, to an extent. I was in charge of the brand sales within the stores. Which meant making sure every customer knew about the brand and how it can benefit them. responsibility gives me a burst of energy which keeps you going.
Im not sure as my degrees is around business systems and information technology, which is different from being a sales consultancy. However, skills such as customer services, the willingness to speak to customers will help me with future jobs, without a doubt!
The Company
Atmosphere was pleasant and assuring, we all knew what we had to do at the start of the day. With this job, each day began with a conference call with the team and managers, where positives where outlined and motivational speeches where made, which i thought was vital for me, as in the morning it can a struggle to get going.
As it was during weekends for me, my manager made sure that when I went in for the weekend stock was organised and positioning of merchandise was visible. Which meant that it was very well organised. My manager always used to contact me prior to my shift to make sure everything was alright, and generally how i was doing, then explained the situation within the workplace and how to achieve targets.
Quiet a lot, training days where there to help implement success into my current ways of working, which always helped. My manager would come along to a few shifts to help support and develop skills whilst shadowing.

You can build up your rep within the organisation. The harder work you put in, will reward you equally. However at the time i was only a there for a limited time, but i am aware of potential opportunities within the organisation.
The Culture
Yes, there was! Being social was the main motto, in my opinion, every employee was very talkative and friendly. There are internal competitions which also motivate you, luckily i was on the winning team and a team social was organised, so within this aspect, there is a good social scene.
Cheap, easy to commute. For me, my local store was around a 5/10 minute drive from home, which was also another appealing factor to the job.
Night life is good, the town i worked in was in a proximity of Gatwick airport. Night life was in the Town centre.
Yes, socials and days out.
