The Role
I really enjoyed my time at Orbitsound as a Brand representative. The day to day was pretty same-o, but the people I worked with were all great. Even though we rarely saw each other, I felt to be a huge part of the team.
Orbitsound are all about rewarding that hard work. Frequent competitions against eachother to make that day to day more exciting with AMAZING rewards for the winner. In my first few weeks I was given a soundbar for my hard work on top of my wage.
Frequent conference calls and whatsapp groups that are always buzzing make conversations with even the top end of management easy. If you have an idea for improvement, you can take it right to the top and be confident it will be heard. The conference calls are constantly pushing you to learn more and to adapt to the marketplace, whilst sharing success stories and motivation with everyone else in the team.
The day's weren't all to busy. There was no rushing around, but there was always something to do. You only need one customer to do the job.
If you work hard you will be rewarded. You will only be given the extra responsibility if you ask for it and prove your worth beforehand in order to show you can do it.
I learned how to approach any situation with a smile and a level head. How to talk to customers and build that all important rapport. And most of all, to sell. I feel that these skills will be transferable in many instances, from building rapport with an interviewer to selling your skills and building that can-do attitude which will undoubtedly lead to a successful career.
The Company
The atmosphere in the workplace was really relaxed. There wasn't any pressure to hit targets, but you felt you wanted to and pushed for it. As mentioned previously; this job rewards hard work and success.
Some issues with made it hard to give this a higher rating. Some days it felt like everything was against you, and even though you worked hard to achieve what you wanted to achieve, these factors made it extremely difficult.
Lots of training available and if you have a question about anything at all they encourage you to make a phone call, or ask in the whatsapp group. I was rewarded for my success and hard work and was promoted to a full time role.

Company Parties/Events
There doesn't seem to be much room for progression beyond a full time role. As a weekend job for a student, the role is great. As a long term career move, not so much.
The Culture
You didn't really get a chance to see other people within the company except for allocated training day events or parties, but you were in constant contact over whatsapp that meant chatting while working is an easy thing to fall in to.
Cost of living is relatively cheap depending where you choose to live in the city. My role was in the next city over so the train travel to work every day is what burner a hole in my pocket.
I didn't actually go out in the area where I worked.
Only for special events and parties.
