The Role
I Really enjoyed this job for a number of reasons. All the people in the company had a great work ethos and knew how to have fun whilst maintaining a fierce commitment to the task at hand. The varied nature of the role I was doing allowed me to travel around the country and promote the products in some of the best venues in the UK which was very exciting.
I always felt fairly valued by my colleagues because everyones successes are acknowledged and I knew if I worked hard this would be recognised. I always felt like if I had a difficulty there would be a number of people I could ask for guidance.
It was always there when I needed it.
No two days are the same! But on the whole the days were quite busy. You get out what you put in but the work was a good balance and I always went home with a huge sense of satisfaction after a successful hard days work.
Once I had become familiar with my role and the job, I was given enough freedom to perform the job without feeling like I was under scrutiny. I felt like Orbitsound encouraged employees to take initiative and become responsible for their performance throughout my time there.
Initially this was a great opportunity for me to bind together my experience in sales and events and my personal interest in sound and audio. However, the longer I worked there the more insight I gained into a number of different business practices and techniques which have shaped my personal standards of performance in subsequent employment
The Company
I did not work in the office but in all areas of the company the atmosphere was great/
High level of organisation
Regular conference calls and training sessions were held all the time in which different members of the company always had the opportunity to share best practice which was very useful
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
A big focus on internal promotion means future prospects within the organization are appealing if you are performing well and enjoying it.
The Culture
yes
Working at trade shows were interesting because I would always see new products I wanted to buy but the cost of living on the road was not to expensive without any extravagant purchases.
I traveled all around the UK so I had to opportunity to go out in quite a few different cities and experience different night life which was great.
Yes what kind of question even is that. Outside of work do whatever you like do in your spare time.
