  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I love working for orbitsound. Everyday is a new challenge and the support network around me has helped me achieve my goals in the time ive worked here.

  • The support from management, HR and across the business cannot be questioned. They make you feel like part of the business family.

  • Any queries and questions I have had have been dealt with my management. They have all helped me in terms of development and compassion.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Always busy, once you undertake responsibility for your business in the retail environments you will always find fun and fulfilling ways to succeed on a daily basis.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I have always tried to effectively think of this as my own business in my own location. Its a great feeling. However the support network around me heavily aids my success.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My role at orbitsound helped with the business side of my degree. Lecturers will often ask to apply a theoretical principle to a real life situation. Working in the orbitsound team helped me understand the business world in regards to finance, marketing and even a few socialogical areas. I cannot describe enough however how much this role has broken my own personal belief barriers and made me a more confident person.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Always a positive atmosphere. Surrounding yourself with happy hard working people has always given me more confidence that what I am doing is making a difference.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised. Took me personally a little longer than some others to understand the role better. However thanks to patience and pesistant managerial help it paid off.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I had a full time role offered straight after university and although I never saw this as a permanent job when I first started. I realised my passion and drive for this business was to a level that id be crazy to have said no. The development and trust placed in me will always be something I treasure.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • My story tells all. Orbitsound must be one.of the best organisation for helping young people like myself. I have contributed to other areas and not just sales. Regular training events and additional skill sets by individuals are structured and applied to great effect.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Always a vibrant atmosphere at work and work based functions. The attitude of all the staff is always admirable.

  • Very expensive area. For housing and for most things.

  • Not amazing yet often you can travel short distances to.find better places.
