The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience; I was given extensive responsibilities and feel like I learnt so much both through the initial training days' sessions and on the job from patient and helpful colleagues.
My team were so welcoming; it was a highly inclusive environment and while I was given the necessary support and help, I was also treated as an equal and included in all social activities out of work.
I was given great support from my manager who gave me frequent feedback and targets to achieve so I had clear directions. I also had a brilliant mentor who, a product of the graduate scheme herself 3 years prior to this, was so patient, approachable and keen to help me achieve. Having grown and developed throughout the process thanks to her help, she said she felt like a proud mum!
Very busy! I began each week with clear targets and KPIs to hit, alongside being pulled in every direction when the team had activities that required more urgent attention. This became a real positive; the fast-paced environment kept me focussed - I could never have been bored and felt a real sense of achievement at the end of each day.
Much more than anticipated. I have friends who have done internships for other large companies whose responsibilities have extended only as far as shadowing. At Page you are really thrown into a variety of activities, especially on the candidate side of the role including sourcing new candidates, briefing them on jobs, gathering commercial information, and booking in and subsequently leading candidate interviews. Other responsibilities included writing job adverts, managing responses and writing targeted mailshot emails. I felt confident going into all activities thanks to relevant training.

The Company
Work hard play hard atmosphere. Involved in team activities. Everyone is focussed and hard-working with a real drive to succeed, this strong work ethic is championed by teamwork.
Very well organised. We were given feedback at every stage of the application process, after the telephone interview, assessment centre and face-to-face interview. We were given 2 days training so that we were confident. We had a workbook to offer guidelines for activities and development and were given regular mentoring to see how we were getting on. We also had a mid internship review and an end of internship appraisal and graduation day where we all came together to give a presentation and share our experiences.
Wonderful initial training, great feedback, a helpful mentoring system, weekly updates and targets and patient, positive encouragement.

Very, I am in the process of applying for the grad scheme with Page, there are great progression opportunities within the company.
The Culture
As I chose to be based in the Leeds office (you can choose from offices all over the UK) there were only 3 of us interns; we made friends and went for drinks a few times but it was not a huge intern population. However, having caught up with other interns after the 8 weeks at the graduation day, there were more than 10 interns in the London office who socialised together.
Cheap, I lived at home so there were no living costs to cover. Though I am applying for the grad scheme in London, it was great to be able to do the internship in Leeds close to my home in Harrogate to be able to save the costs of living away from home.
Great - Leeds is a great city for nightlife, lots of lovely bars (I recommend Angelica's rooftop bar in Trinity), clubs and restaurants.
Yes, e.g. I personally don't play football but the office has its own football team which one of my team members is part of, alongside other great activities.
