The Role
YouView has been a great company to work for and I have loved the experience.
The work I was doing required me to deliver reports for the shareholders and gave me loads of opportunity to interact with people from around the company.
The line manager was really good at making me feel involved and part of the team. His support enabled me to be confident in myself within the business. He always made sure I was comfortable with how things worked and really explained everything so I could get fully involved in the business.
I had regular task to do, like reports and meetings with shareholders. I usually had something to be getting on with, however as this area is very reactive, the work depends on what happens that week, there were times when I was looking for more to do.
I was given the key responsibility for compiling a large weekly report that goes out to all the shareholders and CEOs.
This experience has been invaluable and has help me develop confidence in the workplace that I will highly value in my future career.
The Company
The office had a great atmosphere, unlike any other, everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Everyone throughout YouView, in every department, is always happy to help and give advice on what you are doing which is great as it really helps you progress your skills as an individual and become part of the YouView team.
The internship was very organised and made you feel part of the company.
They organised training for us to help us progress within the internship and beyond.

YouView is an exciting company that would be a great future employer.
The Culture
Social scene was good both amongst the interns and the company. We were given welcome and leaving drinks by YouView that was very enjoyable.
It is London so living costs are high however I luckily stayed with family so was able to save some money in that respect.
There is always something going on and loads of pubs just outside of the office.
There were charity events and social football and running clubs.
