The Role
I really did enjoy it. Everything from my initial interviews to my mentoring whilst in the company has been perfect. My line manager was extremely forthcoming and always made me comfortable. I was always included in any team meetings and outings. Everyone at YouView made me feel like i was part of their team.
My colleagues always made me feel like I was part of their team. They were always available to help or to do something I requested.
My mentor was always available to help me with anything. He would make time for anything I might need.
My mentor and line manager always made sure I had enough work to do. They went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the amount of work I had.
I was given access to big test equipment as well as a reserved server slot. I was given the chance to raise tickets and to push my own code to the master test folder.
I learnt a lot whilst at YouView. It helped cement anything I had studied in my degree. I gained a lot of technical skills and professional skills.
The Company
Extremely friendly and relaxed! There is always something happening.
Everything had been organised beforehand. Everyone was expecting me.
My mentor would have invested all of his time if I had needed. I was given all the tools possible to succeed.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
I have expressed my interest in further employment.
The Culture
Everyone was friendly. Unfortunately we all had different schedules.
Central London is known for being expensive. Thus, my area was expensive.
Lively. My area is mostly offices so there are plenty of after hour bars.
There were plenty of opportunities. From team outings to charity events.
