The Role
Work was interesting, everyone in the office was friendly, approachable and willing to help.
People from other teams would come and ask me about the work I was doing as well as the people in my own team giving guidance about implementation details.
Given a lot of higher level advice about how an overall solution would be structured. When I needed more specific guidance with a particular language/technology this was also given when asked.
I always felt I had something to be working on, or learning about if I was waiting on something else.
I was responsible for writing parts of applications that would be used by not only other teams within the company, but 3rd parties as well.
I feel I've become an overall better programmer and have an understanding of a much wider range of languages and tools.
The Company
Extremely friendly and welcoming. We would often go out for lunch as a team and could walk around the office and speak to other people if needed.
The team I was working with knew which projects they wanted the interns to focus on when we first arrived so we could focus from the beginning.
They gave a lot of guidance with the languages I was learning where I was unfamiliar with them.

Working from home
I am strongly considering reapplying next year for a graduate role if I decide not to do a masters degree. I may also reapply for the internship if I do decide to do an extra year of study.
The Culture
We would often go out for lunch together or go to company events with each other.
It's central London, so pretty expensive.
Pubs are good, wouldn't stay out late as its too expensive.
Played 5-a-side football every week with colleagues, and sometimes had the opportunity to go to various tech-based meet-ups.
