The Role
Youview is a company with a passion for innovation, so it's no wonder they create an amazing product. I really enjoyed my time there working as an integral member to the Youview team. Youview is a company with a great ethos and philosophy for delivering excellence.
Always felt valued, and could rely on honest useful feedback. Could often contribute to others work as well by providing feedback and advice.
Whilst support was always available (and often utilised), my supervisor did a great job of helping me to think through problems myself. Being able to work as part of a team with a refreshing amount of autonomy helped develop both technical and personal skills.
Could be implementing features at my desk one moment and tackling the industry's problems over a drink the next. Never a dull moment, but also never felt swamped by what was going on.
Got to work on a real project, writing (hopefully) useful software that might be used for a while to come.
The opportunity to work with cutting edge technology for a fast moving leader in it's field, was a massive benefit in my development as both as a Computer Science student but also as a future Software Engineer.

The Culture
Regular drinks, football and days out suited me perfectly!
In a fairly posh area of London, but theres plenty nice/affordable places to socialise/live. Trains are quite expensive though.
Lots of good places in/around central london.
Attended a number of meetups and hackathons nearby.
