Thus far I have had a fantastic experience while interning at Savills, and have enjoyed my time significantly. I have been exposed to multiple aspects of the business, and have thoroughly enjoyed getting stuck into numerous projects which I feel have allowed me to make a meaningful contribution.
I really enjoyed my time with Savills and the opportunity pushed me to try something new and learn new skills. With the office based in Cardiff city centre, I was able to experience the city and better understand the context of the Welsh Planning system. Working within the office was a pleasure, and all staff within my team made time to tell me about their work and background, which supported my personal development and understanding of the job role.
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight week I completed at Savills. Even though the duration of the placement was restricted due to COV-19, I am extremely grateful for Savills for still making the effort to organise the placement and enable me to gain valuable exposure to the industry. I was given exposure to a wide range of projects from the outset of my placement and everyone in the office was both friendly and eager to help if I had any questions.
Very much so. I was in the development team and my mentor was a Director, this was a great insight and brought a lot of opportunity from the front line. I found I had more work to do than my previous work experiences, which was fab - I think pairing with a Director is better than being paired with a grad as my questions are answered better and there is a greater opportunity with the work.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this week at Savills. The team I am in has looked after me and always made sure i have something to do. This means I have learnt a great deal and a lot of experience. Every day I have been doing something different and meeting the other interns has also been great. I have been apart of the Business space property management team, something I knew little about but I feel I am leaving with a lot more knowledge and an interest in the sector.
I very much enjoyed the insight. The work I was assigned sat extremely well within my subject area and everyone I worked with was extremely helpful in showing me both what I needed to do, taking me on site visits etc
Very lucky to have the opportunity, really opened my eyes up to the world of commercial property investment. Everyone in my team- especially the graduates were extremely nice and very helpful. Considering covid 19 restricted the placement, I still managed to really enjoy myself and hope to have an opportunity to come back to Savills soon.
The placement was extremely enjoyable. I received real experience and had many responsibilities. My teams were really enthusiastic and I was able to learn a lot. I gained one years experience for my APC and was able to attend numerous CPD and training sessions. I was able to meet lots of different people in many other departments as well as in my own department. There were also many social events put on by the company which were really enjoyable. I never felt bored or overwhelmed.
There were many reasons I enjoyed the Savills Summer Scheme. Firstly, it was excellent that the scheme went ahead as other organisations had cancelled theirs. I enjoyed the multiple site visits throughout the placement which helped me understand what I had been learning at university and putting it into practice. I was more than happy with the department I was put into as I had expressed my interests for that sector in my interview. I wish I could have stayed longer!
This week has been really insightful and I am very grateful for the opportunity to take part in real life projects and find out more about the filed in general. It is a shame we could not be here for a month. The department I was placed in is not something I have thought I would go into; However, during this week I have changed my mind and definitely opened a whole new opportunity for my personal future development.
I enjoyed this placement a lot, it was another good chance to meet the people in the Savills Birmingham office, everyone was very friendly. Although the summer scheme has been cut short I have been able to spend some time in 4 different departments and completing work for them. This was great as its has enabled me to learn more and take what i have learnt at uni and apply it to the real world.
It was well organised and I appreciated the effort that went into it despite these tricky Covid times. There were opportunities to get out and about and see sites a lot during the week. The firm organised multiple talks which were informative and interesting to hear from different people around the business.
