The Role
I enjoyed the internship greatly, everybody was friendly and the work i did was interesting and enjoyable
I felt very valued, the work i did was part of a larger project and my findings are going to be used by another member of staff in the future
I was supported massively by every member of staff i spoke to, the knowledge and guidance is abundant.
I found that i was given tasks to do at the beginning of the week and had the freedom to choose as and when i had these done.
The work i did for the project is going to be used in future by members of staff.
I believe i have developed a more industry standard working ethic, in an enviroment designed to help you grow and develop. I believe when i return to university i will be able to manage time and work more effectively
The Company
Quiet but that was because of the work people in my department did, it was individual, however everybody was friendly enough for a chat if need be. There was no tension within the office and it was friendly enough. There were aslo many groups and activities avaliable.
Very well organised, i was given a target and a structure at the beginning of my placement, this was from my manager not the grad team. However appropriate communication was given in advance to any aspect of the internship not intially stated.
I have learnt 3 new pieces of software aswell as health and safety. The training has come from informal chats and demonstrations from individuals. I found these to be much more useful
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
The grad scheme is amazing and i personally am in the process of trying to get onto the scheme, there are offices all round the world with countless job opportunites.
The Culture
Yes the other interns where very friendly and we are now really good friends
Standard south of England prices, but there was a wide variety of places to eat and live for all price ranges
Ok it is a student town so in the summer it is nto as good.
I did not look for non work related activities during my short time here
