The Role
Set a 10week project with a clear goal, very structured and difficult to put my own stamp on it
Despite being very friendly I was clearly the placement student and therefore there was little interest in spending large amounts of time with me and it often felt like my colleagues felt there was little point explaining stuff as I was there for such a small amount of time.
Hard to pin down, took a large a amount of holiday during my 10weeks, failed to communicate effectively with me and gave little constructive criticism and little feedback.
As busy as I felt like being.....
Little responsibility, it wasn't a job role, just a project
I'm now really good at excel and powerpoint
The Company
Quite laid back, lots of the benefits that you'd expect working for a corporate giant
Poorly, given a supervisor who was on holiday for the majority of the time and therefore deadlines kept changing. Also poor welcome/introduction to the company and poor project definition
Little.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I wouldn't want to return
The Culture
New Exxon Mobil Employees club which introduces you to fellow new employees
High as you'd expect in london
Little outside of London, much better in central london
