The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my work placement. I have been faced with some real challenges and have enjoyed working along side the team to achieve high standard results.
I settled in fairly quickly due to the supportive nature of all my colleagues who were very welcoming and friendly.
If I need guidance on anything there is always someone there to help and support you.
At the start of my placement my workload was manageable. However as I have progressed in my placement I have proven that I am capable of handling much more and so I have taken on a few individual projects. There is never a chance to be bored here. Something new happens everyday.
The amount of responsibility included in my role was much more than what I was expecting. It gives you the chance to prove yourself, that you can handle the work load.
My placement has helped develop my skills in a major way. Presentation skills for example have increased significantly along with my confidence. Due to this I am open to new challenges and not hesitant when completing tasks or working with others. I face challenges head on and will always complete tasks to the best of my ability.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was just right. The team are very hard working but at the same time are very friendly and enjoyed a good laugh!
The company are very well organised with the overall placement set up. Duties and other specific factors were all outlined very clearly at the start of the placement and are reinforced throughout your time here.
The company spend a great deal of time and effort on each individual. You will get the chance to develop skills such as presenting skills, Interview skills and get the chance to complete a mock assessment for future jobs. This was very helpful and I learnt a lot about my self and what I needed to personally develop to help stand out from the crowd.

Future prospects are quite good as the company have a very good graduate scheme.
The Culture
The companies social events are really good fun. It gives you the chance to get to know the people you work with a lot better outside of work. Also socialising with the other placement students has been good, as you make friends who you can stay in touch with after placement.
The cost of living in the South of London is quite expensive, however your wage will be more than enough to cover this.
The nightlife here is satisfactory. There are alot of bars but not so many clubs. The nearest club is about 25 minutes away. But there is plenty of transport around.
There are activities such as the ExxonMobil football team & hockey team. There is also a free gym on site and many more other activies available.
