The Role
Depending to current job, the work load was varied, there was always more that a student could do if prepared to look for it.
Initial responsability was given, although more was gained throughout placement once contacts through the buisness were established
The Company
There is a wide range of knowledge and experiences to talk about and learn from
Carried out basic skills training at the begining to allow us to perform tasks during placement
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
Returnig next summer before masters year to an area in which I feel I suited best. Also a job after final graduation is very likely
The Culture
with 10+ placement students living in the same area and at least 2 working in the same office at the same time, there is always someone there to talk to during break times if other work collegues are not around
Lived in subsadised JCB accomodation in the center of town, we shared lifts to work, and there was a supermarked within walking distance.
There was a number of pubs nearby including a Weatherspoons which all the students visit on a thursday night for food and drinks.
