The Role
Very well organised internship, everything is looked after, great introduction, e.g. teambuilding event in the second week in order to get to know the interns from other Exxonlocations, too. Project well selected. The project is not just a job to keep the intern occupied but is necessary for the ongoing business. Very challenging but interesting!
Great atmosphere. Welcome dinners and events during the first weeks, then meeting up with colleagues and other graduates in free time on a regular basis anyway.
Two mentors and a supervisor which always were there to answer questions and help me to go through with my project and prepare my final presentation
towards the end there was a lot of time pressure but on a regular basis there was more work that at my usual job, however, no texceptionally more. (average, maybe 9hours a day)
I was working on my project on my own but constantly was talking to my mentor, therefore although I alone was resp. for the outcome, it always was "looked after" by my mentors and supervisor.
e.g. improved organisational skills by working with people that are not easily available (located in Germany)
The Company
Very friendly atmosphere
Everything greatly organised! However there were some IT problems during the internship. But I guess this was exceptionally unlucky for me, since none of the other interns had any similar problems.

My internship hasn't ended yet, but I am hoping for a job offer!
The Culture
All of the interns and many graduates went out nearly once a week and there were many team events for many colleagues.
Living and socialising around london is expensive. Socialising gets expensive when being out after the last train since taxis are very expensive.

e.g. many golf clubs etc but there are more the further you get into London than in/around Leatherhead.
