    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • While on placement I was given the opportunity to be a focal for project that my team were involved in. This involved reporting directly to the projects Engineering Project Manager (EMP) and Programme Manager on the progress that was being made. This was in addition to being involved in contributing to the progress itself. To begin I thought with this was too much responsibility for an intern but the amount of support provided to me allowed me to learn so much and was an amazing experience.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my internship and would highly recommend it at GE Aviation. To the extent that I considered rolling off directly into a permanent role within the team I had been in. Despite not going for this in the end, I decided to join the sites graduate scheme, called "The Edison Programme" for at least the following 2 years.
