  • I always felt valued in my office by my colleagues within my office and by colleagues in difference offices. When decisions were to be made i was always asked on my opinion and my views and they were always valued and taken into account. The work and tasks which i completed was always appreciated. I was regarded as a permanent member of staff and was never treated differently. I was made to feel like part of the team. There was always social events being organised which I was able to be involved in too and get to socialise with other employees.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was kept busy through out my placement year by developing new skills and managing tasks. I would work along side the engineer and detailers by helping them plan out their workload and their weekly planner. I would deal with sales order processing and dispatch to ensure everything which was required for the delivery was provided. There was a good balance with the workload and this also allowed me to think on my own initiative.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I felt that i was gave a lot of responsibility during my placement which i was grateful for as it allowed me to think on my own initiative and develop skills. I was made the "Driver" of the office to ensure all tasks were meeting deadline dates and everything were running as smoothly as possibly in regards to sales orders. After i started my placement the workload got very busy and new colleagues were employed for the same role as myself. I was responsible for training them and then providing and managing their workload too.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere in the office was good! Everyone was happy to help each other and had time for every one. We would always have a laugh and fun in the office but we this never interfered with out workload. • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • This work placement set was very well organised as other placement students were starting at the same time as myself. I was provided with a training schedule and got training with the required people. This was set up well as me and my manager sat down at the start and throughout the year and talked about goals and targets on what he wanted me to achieve.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • In terms of training, I learnt and got a lot of training from people who had a lot of experience. The company has an office in England and i went over a few times throughout the year and got training from other employees who were doing a similar role to myself. I was good to experience how that office works in England and i got to meet them as well as i would be dealing and talking on the phone back in my office.
