The Role
I found the project i had been given fun and challenging, but still within my ability to complete. It was the right length and allowed me to leave the company feeling as though i had achieved something.
Extreemely. Everyone was very welcoming, offering help and support. this extended outside work as well, including joining sport clubs.
All members of staff made a huge effort, often going out of their way, to help me. My project also attracted a lot of attention from other technical specialists, all who were willing to help.
About right. Although i had a lot to do, I always felt comfident I could complete what was asked of me in the alloted time.
The equipment i was designing was very low risk, and all work i completed was checked on a regular basis. Although i was left to carry the project largely in the direction i wanted.
Some small skills were beneficial, mainly social developments and seeing how units ineract on a large scale rather than software skills etc.
The Company
Perfect balence of work and fun. Regular tea breaks and jokes, but serious wor when required.
I could not fault it. Everything was very well prepared, i felt wined and dined by the company.
I was sent on team building courses, went to arranged social events, was given a social and ball budget to spend.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered a job for the end of my degree.
The Culture
Very good mix of people. Many joined sports clubs, and had a socail budget to spend as we saw fit.
Stayed in Uni accomodation so relatively cheap. Food and drink as expected.
Some pubs and clubs. Not great, except the frog and frigit!
Badmington, football, climbing all happened on a weekly basis after work, plus activities every weekend.
