My role started with a lot of trainings and learning about the technologies being used on the job
Involved in Engineering project with data migration work on product data PLM and PDM projects Also worked on volunteering projects such as STEM

As a result of a lack of managerial structure set in place the placement was very unstable in terms of amount of work given and its relation to the students actual expertise Thorough most of the placement I felt that there was not any guidance at all a
Primarily because it wasnt my first choice of engineering field I am more interested in Nuclear
The work that I did provided a lot of scope to use skills and subjects that I had learnt at university There was a lot of expertise within the company It was an enjoyable experience
There were definiteily elements of the placement that I found difficult but as soon as I got into the swing of things I took them in my stride and really enjoyed the work I was doing and working alongside some really nice people
The work I did was relevant challenging and enjoyable regardless of the project There was generally a positive attitude within the company however more could be done to improve the social atmosphere inside and outside of the office
Enjoying it been given a reallife project with a clear aim which I will follow through from start to finish during the year
This was my first experience of working in industry and I settled in really fast and enjoyed working life The placement scheme gave me very varied work which ranged from programming management training a group project with our year in industry students
