The Role
Primarily because it wasn't my first choice of engineering field. I am more interested in Nuclear.
Overall friendly environment and companions are easily made.
Fairly busy. Had quite a bit of free time, though this was because of project progress being stalled.
Enough to make me feel like I am contributing but not enough to make me feel like I am learning much.
The Company
As mentioned, the environment was quite friendly.
There were a few ups and downs.
Some training sessions were attended.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Car
Company Parties/Events
Personally, I am not interested in Steam Systems. However, they do offer graduate jobs if the candidate performs well during the placement year.
The Culture
Not bad, considering a student discount.
I don't really have a nightlife. However, my colleagues have told me that it can be a lot of fun.
Sports and leisure centre. Cinema. Restaurants. Shopping. That's about it really.
