It was very different from what I was expecting, and at times it was very stressful. However, I have enjoyed it because of the amount I have learnt from it and how much I can look at and say that I personally had a hand in influencing for the business which is rewarding.
My placement with L'Oréal has been a huge learning curve that I am very grateful for. I feel the experience I have gained through my role has set me up for a successful career after I graduate. I have gained knowledge of not only my specific job role but the industry and brands too. I was given high level of responsibility that although was challenging at times has been highly rewarding and I have developed my skills in so many areas because of it. Overall my placement has been extremely positive and the support from both my manager and my team has been exactly what I needed and never felt I had no one to turn to with questions.
I really enjoyed my placement year at L'Oreal. Although challenging at times I learnt a lot and developed a lot as a person. The company was extremely welcoming and it was a pleasure to arrive everyday. There was never a dull moment for those willing to learn and progress. I was matched with tasks that fitted my capability and was given more and more responsibility as time passed and I found my feet. Although I was new to the industry, I never felt overwhelmed, as L'Oreal offered multiple opportunities to help me learn along the way.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time working here from the people surrounding me to the work I was completing, every day was amazing. Everything about the experience has been invaluable and I wish it wasn't ending. Having the exposure to the operational side of the business has really been an eye-opener as to how complex distribution is. It was great to be respected as a fellow employee and treated equally.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at L'Oreal. I've learned so much and its made me decide that marketing is definitely the career for me! The amount of responsibility I've been given as an intern has been incredible. I've been given my own projects to lead and to see something you've created in store and online and knowing you've contributed to the success of the brand is an amazing feeling. Would definitely recommend!
My internship has been challenging allowing me to grow and strengthen my skill set. There isn't a lot of training given, especially at the start, so one needs to actively seek out help and training, which can be a learning opportunity in itself. I particularly enjoyed the many different areas of marketing I got to explore and I was able to see the impact of my work, which was really rewarding.
During my placement I had a really great time, all my colleagues were really helpful and I settled in really quickly. On a scale of 1-10 I would say it's been a 7. My placement was great at the beginning and I really enjoyed it, but my manager moved positions during my role and no one replaced her, so I took on her job. If this hadn't been the case it would have been amazing the whole time.
I've thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at L'Oreal. Interns are given real responsibilities which impact your brand's performance. There was also the opportunity for me to work on various projects beyond my job description, which has broadened my knowledge on in-store and online projects and provided an insight into how large-scale organisations operate.
My placement at L'Oreal in Supply Chain has really surpassed my expectations. I have been given outstanding learning opportunities and am proud of how far my skills and knowledge have developed over time in my role. The first few months were definitely the toughest due to the very steep learning curve to familiarise yourself with the business and function but it's been really rewarding to improve and build confidence over time to have a positive impact.
I would say that my experience at L'Oréal for my work placement this year has been mainly positive. I really enjoyed the environment, people, and work i was given. I am extremely glad to have had the opportunity to work for this company as i made great connections and felt fulfilled and appreciated for what i did. There were high-intensity days and weeks however all in all these taught me how to work better under pressure, which i now believe has become one of my key leanings.
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at L'Oreal, the variety of work I was given the opportunity to get involved in was far greater than I expected, as well as the level of responsibility. It was satisfying to work often independently and see projects from start to completion, which spanned across many teams and roles.
My placement has been invaluable and exceeded all expectations. There is a never a dull moment thanks to the fast paced nature of the cosmetics industry, the range of exciting projects and launches and of course my team. Having the opportunity to work towards providing beauty for all has been truly rewarding.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the past year. I have a huge passion for beauty and I have felt 'in my element' to say the least. The atmosphere at L'Oreal has been so friendly and warm and I felt welcomed from the get go. It is a great place to learn and grow as a person.
My work placement was extremely rewarding, I felt like I learnt so many invaluable skills that I certainly go onto use later in life after the completion of my placement year. The level of creativity I was given was my highlight, the flexibility in my placement environment enabled me to thrive in the areas that i really enjoyed.
My placement with L'Oréal has been the most surreal, insightful and gratifying year of my life. I had high expectations regarding the level of knowledge, experience and responsibility I would gain during the placement, but these have been completely exceeded and I feel that this experience has infinitely benefited my development, both professionally and personally. There have been occasions in which I have struggled, mainly at times when I have felt a lack of support from my manager, but overall I have found the experience immensely positive.
My internship was extremely rewarding. I was given a lot of responsibility and autonomy, allowing me to grow in the role and determine, with the guidance of my manager, what actions would be best for the brand. Having said that, the internship was a lot of hard work. I worked long hours, and often felt stressed at work.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement at L'Oreal and although initially sceptical of the brand I was assigned to, I couldn't have asked for a better brand/division to experience L'Oreal in! Everyone is really welcoming and treat you as part of the team rather than an intern. You are given a huge amount of responsibility, are able to test your own ideas and have various opportunities to learn new skills. There is also a great work/life balance with many intern activities organised inside and outside of work.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my year at L'Oreal and it definitely exceeded my expectations! The company culture, people, and environment makes L'Oreal an amazing place to work and develop your skills. They placed me into the perfect role that matched my strengths and personality. I actually requested this role in my assessment centre, and they listened!
