I absolutely loved working at L'Oréal. Not only are you given a huge amount of responsibility as an intern you are truly treated like a full time employee. Working in Supply Chain I really felt like a big part of the team. I was supported hugely but also asked for advice and assistance and this made me feel great!
I have been on the Finance internship and have really enjoyed the opportunity to experience other functions and levels outside of my role. There are lots of cross-functional projects to get involved with, and you are actively encouraged to shadow others both within and outside of your team. This helped me to not only get the most out of my placement year, but also to give me a better idea of what I wanted to do when I graduate. Interns are given a lot of responsibility and your role is a 'real' job. You are not made to feel like an intern, however this increased responsiblity does come with more stress, and the expectancy that you will work extra hours to keep up with the workload.
I have enjoyed my year at L'Oreal - every day was different, stimulating and full of opportunities. However, the work load sometimes culminates in high levels of stress. I have worked with some great people, and made friends that I will stay in touch with after we leave. L'Oreal is a fast paced and exciting company to be at. It is definitely work hard play hard, and if that's what you like then it's a great place to be.
I greatly enjoyed my placement from start to finish due to a range of factors - the work environment is extremely welcoming and friendly and I have been surrounded by colleagues who are always wanting to help develop my skills. There is also a great work/life balance with many intern socials and divisional socials too.
Working at L’Oréal has been the experience of a lifetime. What surprised me most when joining was the fun and young, yet professional environment. This placement has given me the opportunity to learn unbelievable amounts and has given me the tools to gain real workplace knowledge whilst also working on projects that I am genuinely passionate about as a consumer. The structure of the company allows you to build a strong connection with your team, making it possible to network with other brands and wider teams The role has given me the ability to be creative and experimental with my ideas, whilst simultaneously learning about the responsibilities of those in higher positions to me, providing me with goals to work towards for my own career/journey.
This was very dependant on the events of the day and the tasks that I was carrying out, but on the whole I did enjoy the experience that I had working in supply chain, with the key aspect of problem solving being something that appeals to the strengths that I have.
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship, doing year in industry has been the best career decision i have ever made, and the benefits of working for L'Oreal are incredible- For example access to employee discounts and the ability to work from home.
My work placement has been one of the best years of my life, I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The amount of responsibility I have been given as an intern has been amazing, the team I work with are outstanding and are a big part to play of why I enjoyed my placement so much.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at L'Oréal. I was hesitant of receiving 'intern' responsibilities but I was truly valued as part of the team with a lot of responsibility. I like to be kept busy and work on various different projects so this was perfect for me.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my work placement here at L'Oreal. Every day is different, which means every day will bring its own challenges and learning. However, L'Oreal is a very fast moving company, which means, you have to be open minded each day to what the day may hold and challenges.
I throughly enjoyed my placement year with L'Oreal. My team were incredible and I was made to feel like a valued member, not just an intern. I was given a great deal of responsibility and trusted to make my own judgements. The only reason why I am not giving this 10 stars is due to the high pressured environment which at times did have me stressed, but nonetheless I still loved my placement.
I truly enjoyed my placement year as due to the unique circumstances of the team I was on I was given the opportunity to have a lot more responsibility than an ordinary intern would. Been thrown at the deep end gave me the opportunity to gain skills quickly and get a true idea of the responsibilities a manager would have in their projects. I was able to brief, execute and manage around 5 big projects from beginning to end.
I absolutely loved the insight programme. Everyone at L'Oreal is so friendly and made me feel so welcome. I would massively recommend this placement to anyone interested working for a successful, global and super friendly company!
I really enjoyed my Spring Insights Programme this week! I got to work closely with the marketing team for L'Oreal Paris Makeup and the team I worked on were absolutely lovely - so friendly and helpful (and willing to answer all my questions). I helped do a send out to influencers and it was really rewarding to see my work first hand on their socials.
