The Role
Loved this placement! Great people, great location, great atmosphere
Great colleagues, so willing to get you involved
Everyone supporting me was more than helpful
I found the internship too easy. The tasks I was given were not particularly taxing and I could complete them all very quickly if I wanted to just reach the target quickly.
I was introduced and allowed to deal with suppliers so that was responsibility.
Learning about how a supermarket functions internally was the most beneficial things. That and understanding what a buyer is measured on was very interesting.
The Company
lots of free food and things!
Lots of interns - lots of fun!
quite a few training sessions (IT courses and HR courses)
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
They're looking for a much higher calibre now than their summer intake
The Culture
I lived with other interns which Sainsbury's arranged so it was great fun!
London is expensive
London is fun and lively
