The Role
Really rewarding and inspiring experience. I've never learnt so much in 8 weeks and settled in easily with my team and the company
I was given the responsibility of my own project that will benefit the team. And they really valued any extra help I gave them with what they were doing.
My manager although very busy was really supportive offering lots of help and advice. I was also given a "buddy" who was always helpful answering any questions I might have
As I was given my own project it was up to me to manage my time. I had deadlines that I was set so towards the end I was busier than I had been at the beginning
I was given total responsibility for the project I was working on however the rest of the team were always there to support me if I needed it
Particularly developed my project management and speaking skills which will be really useful for future jobs
The Company
Great balance between getting the work done and having fun
I was a bit unsure as to what to expect as we weren't told what we would be doing until we got here, but since I've been hear it has been well organised with regular check in sessions to update the graduate team and other placement students on how we are getting on
I took part in a decision making workshop which was useful for my project and people in my team invested time in supporting me.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
It would be great to be part of the 2020 leaders grad scheme, I am still in the process of applying for it at the moment.
The Culture
There was only 4 of us however we regularly met up for lunch and we were also invited to some of the events the grads had organised.
Central London so it was expensive as would be expected
Didn't really go out much near the office but it is in easy reach of plenty of bars
I know many of the colleagues take part in sporting events and charity fundraising but this wasn't something that was ever offered to me
