The Role
I really enjoyed my time at Sainsbury's, most days I would have something interesting to work on.
My colleagues were extremely supportive (even when they were very busy)
My line manager was always willing to support me with my project and provided constructive feedback regularly. Furthermore, senior staff were always prepared to answer any questions I had.
I usually had sufficient work to be getting on with, although some days this was not the case.
I was allowed to manage a diverse project that resulted in significant cost savings for the business.
The opportunity to work in such a large organisation is invaluable. My line managers feedback helped me to identify areas for improvement and I am now seeking to use this feedback in my studies. Furthermore, I now have a practical appreciation of what goes on within a FTSE 100 business, this has been of great benefit whilst studying Business Management at University.
The Company
The atmosphere was usually quite positive and most people had a good working relationship. However, towards the end of the week it could get quiet as many staff would visit stores.
The placement was well managed and the graduate team were always on hand to answer any questions.
I attended a couple of training/development events, however, many were based at the Coventry office which was disappointing.

Company Parties/Events
I hope to join the new Sainsbury's graduate scheme and believe my 8 weeks experience with the company will support me in the application process.
The Culture
We would regularly catch up for lunch or after work drinks.
London is generally very expensive
Lots of choice, but quite expensive
There were some opportunities although these were not publicised that often.
