The Role
I have had a fantastic experience working in such a fast moving and reactive industry. I have loved working with food which is my passion, as well as develop a huge number of invaluable skills
I have been made to feel very welcome, and will be sad to leave the team.
I learnt that I had to be quite directive in the guidance I was given. However it was always there when I asked. Guidance varied between management, but there was always someone to talk to.
At some points I was extremely busy! I loved this as I was being productive- One of the things I loved about the job was that no two days were the same. Always something new and exciting going on.
My level of responsibiliy increased over time and as I developed within the role. Often the best way to learn is to do the job, and I have found jumping in at the deep end with support there if you need it the best experience.
This placement has taught me lots of invaluable skills. The main one was gaining an understanding of the retail industry. It has built my confidence indefinately and I have built up a huge range of contacts that will benefit me in the future.
The Company
Everyone was really friendly and lots of fun and socialising within the team.
I had to sometimes highlight that I needed more work/ work was too much. However I was so busy and felt that I achieved all my expectations and more in the end.
For placement students there is less opportunity for training than the graduate scheme. I still got a lot of opportunities to learn.
Subsidised Canteen
I would love to come back on the graduate scheme which offers high levels of training and growth opportunities within the business.
The Culture
This was very much self organised. But there are so many fellow students/ graduates that
Very expensive but worth it!
Being in London there is everyting you could ask for!
Again if you wanted to yes, but not a huge number.
