    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Work is always fun and enjoyable, if they feel you need to grow then they will challenge you and help you along

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone is extremely friendly, and will all ways help in any way they can

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • As I said every one is extremely friendly and will help in any way, this includes management

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • On a daily basis I have enough work to last, sometimes it will last a day and some times a month, once in a while you'll get a huge task (like I did) and be working on it most of your placement, which is nice

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I felt like I had control over the projects I was creating/editing and even got asked wether anything i was working on impacted anything else, but it was never to the point where I thought I was "running" anything

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learned a great deal of things that I will remember and have liked every second

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Can be quiet, although many people prefer this while programming

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • First week introductions to everything, every other week was plain old work, seemed pretty organised and planned

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They have helped me learn a lot of new things while working there and have a good helping of books which you can read and borrow

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • They are very appealing, working on a newer version of their current product sounds very exciting and I would think about going back

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Fortunately there was only one other student and he was my friend anyway so we got on really well

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Have to say the area is a little expensive for my liking, but affordable

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I guess it depends on where exactly you live in relation to where you work, but from a "close to work" standpoint I would look elsewhere if you're looking for a job close to any "nightlife"

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There have been a few activities and events held outside company time and all have been great fun

    4/5
