The Role
Astute allowed me to further my skills and give me a clear understanding within the I.T/Telecomunications Industry which I previously had no experience in.
My colleagues at Astute were all extremely friendly and i was never made to feel uncomfortable or isolated during my time with Astute Ltd.
I was always encouraged to ask my manager for help if needed and my manager would always take time to ensure I understood what I was doing or how I was feeling.
Astute Ltd to a degree to manage your own time/workload if you are on top of your target then you shoould'nt be over busy. However if you are behind targets you need to work harder to catch up.
During my time at Astute Ltd I was given the oppurtunity to go to the BT Tower and also a BT Cloudforce event which i participated in. This meant I had to be very punctual and professional at all times.
Astute Ltd opened my eyes to whole new sector (I.T/Telecoms) which I had never before considered entering. Astute also gave me my project for my disertation due to me being involved in a CRM campaign. Before my placement I didnt have topic in mind for my disertation and now I am confident I have chosen a good topic which will benefit my disertation.
The Company
Astute Ltd is a very Team orrientated company so depending on what team you are in and who is in that team you can have a really enthusiatic and energetic environment
From day one I was provided with all the infomation I needed and I was never made to feel like I couldnt ask anyone for help.
I was trusted to do external work for one of Astute's largest customers and this showed a real trust in me and my abilities. I'd never been involved with the I.T and Telecommunications industry but by the end of my placement I felt very comfortable in giving detailed explanations of several products and services.
