The Role
I have been working for Astute for around 5 months now and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself so far. The company culture and work environment has allowed me to settle in very quickly and improve every day whilst on the job.
As previously mentioned, I really enjoy and get on with the work environment and culture at Astute. In terms of being valued, I would say as a colleague you are always valued by your team members and management.
The level of support and training at Astute is very good and they will always make sure you are never left in the dark or struggling. Video training and call coaching is often supplied if you are not sure or struggling in any way.
Throughout the day, I was always busy. Speaking for myself I am a driven and proactive person so I always wanted to get sales and perform to the best of my ability.
The responsibility given to me I would say is a good level. I am responsible for dealing with customers, helping out with new starters and making sure customers are happy with the products they are buying.
So I am really passionate about marketing and communication and this placement so far has developed these skills massively. On the job, I feel I am always improving and it will be interesting to see how much I have improved from the start of this placement to the end.
The Company
Very active and uplifting. This contributed to my performance a lot and was a big motivator for me. They gave us extra incentives which also pushed me.
So far very organised. As a company, they recognise you are on placement and help you out in any way, but also treat you as a valued employee. My placement visit from my coordinator was very smooth and was set up very easily by recruitment.
As Astute, there is a placement team of sorts and they value all members of this team. In terms of investment they actively presented us all with a placement award for our efforts and there is a real commitment on making sure we develop and improve as a person and a employee.

In terms of progression, future prospects are very appealing and once fitted into the company culture, I would not see why you would not come back here.
The Culture
Very much so. We are all very sociable anyway and so this helped with parties and events.
The cost of socialising was not expensive at all and all bars and nightlife is really close to the company. Astute also help you out in terms of accommodation and making sure you are situated nicely and do not have nay problems.
Very good. Most of the members of my office for example plan where they are going before hand so you are likely to join them and not feel left out.
Yes, Astute actively donates to charity and there are regular emails on what events you can participate in.
