Very insightful experience. The internship provides you with a good understanding of the company. The HR team make a real effort to make sure you get the most out of your month with Savills., from arranging talks from a whole host of departments to arranging drinks for all the interns.
I enjoyed the 4 week Placement, to the fullest extent I feel as though i have gained invaluable information and knowledge on the property industry. Due to the level of access the company allowed me to have i was able to explore and understand different markets and division within the company.
My time spent at Savills has been one of the most fulfilling placements I have undertaken to date. Although a seemingly short time, I leave the office at the end of my internship with the satisfaction of having made a lasting impression on my colleagues; the ability to make this impression has been fostered by a supportive team willing to dedicate their time to ensure I maximised the most of my time here at Savills.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time undertaking the Summer Scheme. Not only was the internship incredibly helpful in broadening my understanding of the property industry, it also allowed me to build upon my existing knowledge and skill base in the industry. Finally, I really enjoyed the chance to meet and network with a number of experts in the industry.
The month long internship I have undertaken with Savills has been beyond beneficial, providing me with crucial insight and the opportunity to delve deeper into a previously unknown industry. By taking me along to sight visits and handing responsibility of project tasks to me as an intern has been fantastic.
From the offset, I became involved in major projects that my team were involved in. It was certainly a hands on experience, and at the start I was expected to learn as I went along. In this sense I enjoyed the pressure of being part of the team, and felt I learnt a lot through the experience.
I really enjoyed my time, everyone was really friendly and the work was really interesting. I learnt a lot about the industry and what people do on a daily basis to help the client. It gave me a clearer understanding of the roles and allowed me to understand all stages of client care.
The scheme was very enjoyable due to the welcoming atmosphere and variety of tasks given. The kindness of the team is one of the main factors that made it enjoyable. It was fun to research a project independently and form opinions about the viability of sites. My favourite experience was the day visit I went on to see a variety of sites and attend meetings. I would have liked to have gone on more visits, but this was the best the team could realistically provide.
I really enjoyed working with the people in my team Everyone was very friendly and keen to involve me in gaining first hand exposure The Summer Scheme was very well organized HR at Savills especially the graduate recruitment were very helpful Could have had more work at times
I really enjoyed my 4 weeks at Savills. I felt that it gave a comprehensive and valuable insight into life as a graduate at Savills. It helped me fully experience what private planning consultants do, whilst also allowing me to see what other Savills departments are about in an informal way.
I really enjoyed my time working for Savills in Birmingham as a summer intern and there was a really friendly office vibe and everyone I spoke to was really helpful in letting me know what social events and other things were happening around the office that I could get involved with.
I loved it. They were a really welcoming office and team. They provided me with jobs and roles which were insightful about the roles and responsibilities of a building surveyor as well as be helpful for the full time employees. They involved me in social activities and everyone made an effort to introduce themselves and I got to know all the different departments and there roles just by having short interviews with some of the employees.
The work was very enjoyable to undertake. The main value gathered from the tasks were the variety of them and the insight gained from members of the team. The tasks did not require too much industry/technical knowledge which is ideal for a summer student, however, skills such as time management and business acumen are developed during various activities in a workday.
