The responsibility given to me with real tasks that contribute to colleagues work load etc made my work enjoyable on a day to day basis; I was not just given trivial work to complete or paper work. I was welcomed into the team and made to feel comfortable which also contributed to me enjoying my internship.
I have really enjoyed my time with Savills. I fell that during my summer scheme, I have had the chance to learn a lot of the type of work the different teams within the firm do and I have also been able to learn a lot oabout the industry as a whole and real estate markets.
The Savills Summer Scheme is really interesting. Being able to see loads of different projects and types of jobs associated with the role was really useful. Being able to sit in an office and also go out on site really enabled me to understand the broad range of activities the job offers.
The summer scheme was highly enjoyable and I was given a wide variety of tasks to do which meant I got a good insight into how it would be to work here as a graduate. I would have liked to have had some experience in other teams but I did not manage to fit this into the four weeks.
The placement has been very interesting. Every member of the team has taken time out to help me learn and make sure I understand each aspect of the work. I think it could be improved if I managed to make it out to the occasional site visit to be able to see schemes in real life.
Savills entirely lived up to its stellar reputation as a fantastic graduate employer and internship offering. Not only was the work fulfilling and challenging, it created real value for Savills and this is something rarely experienced with internships - especially for a non-cognitive applicant. Overall, the internship was a great experience and I feel the HR team, deserve the vast array of accolades they earn.
I thoroughly enjoyed my summer scheme experience at Savills in June. Through the experience i felt i made good relationships with not only my fellow interns but also all the people who I worked under. I gained a vast amount of real workplace experience that is unavailable to me at university.
The insight week was a very fun, enjoyable and extremely educational experience which has taught me a lot about the industry that I definitely could not learn at uni alone and I think that this kind of experience is invaluable when choosing what career path you want to go down.
My time with Savills was excellent, with access to genuine responsibility and insight into planning. The team I worked with were welcoming and gave me the opportunity to get an insight into the depth and breadth of the industry. Working hours were always reasonable and the work load manageable; without being bored.
I have very much enjoyed my time on the Savills Summer Scheme. It has helped me to develop an increased understanding of the industry which I wish to enter after graduating from my degree, and more specifically the RICS pathway which I wish to pursue. The tours, departmental talks and social events have helped me to make the summer scheme especially enjoyable.
