The responsibilities you get are those of a real job. You have a lot of opportunity to interact with different departments in the company and the role challenges you to be more analytical of every situation you need to address. You also have a lot of reporting to do and data entry tasks which can be monotonus sometimes but these are normal responsibilities for a placement student which you will normally find with any company.
I have really appreciated the year at BMW. My role was within Aftersales, where they are great in making sure the students get the right amount of repsonsibilities. If you ever wanted more , they were more than willing to believe in you, and find something tht suited you.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement with BMW. I was able to work on a variety of interesting projects, mostly focused around the cars themselves (product and pricing measures etc.), and felt like a made a real contribution to the company, which was rewarding. BMW treats its employees well which makes for a great office environment to work in.
Initially, working for such a large scale organisation, I was apprehensive at the amount of responsibility I was to obtain. With an intake of around 21 interns, including MINI UK, this amount led each individual to take on their own projects and become a valued member of the team. I loved working within the MINI team, as well as getting exposure across multiple BMW teams. Attending events such as PGA championships, Goodwood Festival of Speed, NEC Motorbike show, as well as various track days was definitely a highlight.
I really enjoyed my Placement year with BMW. It was a well organised programme with previous students giving us valuable guidance on how to work effectively. The placement year was also with 20 other students so there was a great atmosphere within the whole team. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful during any time and were
I throughly enjoyed working at BMW. It wasn't long into the placement where I felt I was doing a real job and having an impact within my team and on the business. There are so many opportunities to gain experience and develop your skills and get heavily involved in the company. The placement surpassed my expectations and I have gained invaluable skills and business experience but also had a lot of fun and met some great people.
My work placement was extremely enjoyable, A diverse range of activities, responsibilities and projects meant that the learning experience was varied and multiple skills were developed. I found the work enjoyable and interesting, with real responsibility and influential results. The placement gave me the opportunity to experience working life and strengthened my future career ambitions and direction.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at BMW UK and I would say it was the highlight of my degree course so far. BMW allowed me to work on some really exciting and important projects which tested skills learnt in the first two years of my degree, whilst also allowing me to develop, and add practical experience, to these skills. I was also able to work on some great events including the BMW PGA Championship and Goodwood Festival of Speed. I feel I have benefited massively from my experiences at BMW, and have come away from my placement with greater focus and determination to succeed, as well as a greater understanding of the career path I want to follow.
