The Role
Overall, I enjoyed the internship. Some days are are very enjoyable, especially the day's off where we took trips to Alton Towers, Water Parks and Cinema. Other days when you are stuck in the streets when it's raining and cold and when people you meet people are mean for no reason, it's tough to deal with that.
I met very interesting people, The diversity of the people who you will be working with was the first thing I noticed. They are all really interesting and we have a lot of fun. Realistically I will only keep in contact with a 2 or 3 people but I got to know the people I work with quite well.
There was some support. I was always reluctant to ask for advice. I found this internship gets easier and ore enjoyable the more successful you are but when you are struggling there is little attention and help.
It was very busy. It is really a 24/7 job, living with your manager and working with your flatmates. You eat and breathe this internship.
I was given some responsibility.
The communication skills I developed to talk with people generally and meeting people in different walks of life with different perspective was eye opening, I learned so much just having a chat with people. It's taught me to not be afraid of failing or getting rejected so I will be applying for more jobs and internships.
The Company
There was a lot of energy when we were all together but to really have fun you have to join in. We're always training or playing games that gets you prepared and relaxed for the rest of the day. It's all great when you are doing well but you may sometimes feel detached when you aren't doing as well as the others.
Overall, it was very organised. We went from London to Nottingham with all our luggage's being delivered in the flats we would be living for the rest of the summer. However, the day to day running of the internship is not as well organised for instance the sorting of location of where we would be working during the day.
The biggest investment was the 3 days of sales school in the beginning and the 2 advance training that happens further into the programme.
Financial Bonus
It's a one time thing, I would not want to come back.
The Culture
I personally didn't enjoy the social scene.
The cinema was expensive but it really depends on what you do. We went to Alton Towers, although expensive, it was worth it for me.
I didn't go out but other who did had a lot of fun.
No, you will time for nothing apart from work.
