The Role
I quite enjoyed it - it is a good experience for every student if you are ready to work hard and come out of your comfort zone.
As you are doing well, your colleagues want you to succeed and you feel this support. However, sometimes it is hard to treat managers like managers since we are all students.
There is support from management, but you should be willing to ask for it yourself. Do not expect them to come to you though
Very busy. No free time whatsoever, to be honest, until you wake up earlier.
You are responsible for yourself in the field but you are not responsible how you are spending your time throughout the day.
The skills should be really really helpful in the future.
The Company
Lots of fun, intense at some times when you do something differently from what they want/expect you to do.
It was not organised perfectly: there were many times when everything was decided in the last minute but the overall general plan for the whole summer was set.
They invested a lot of personal training in me since I was doing well. However, I don't think students who were not doing so well received the same amount of time and energy invested in them.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
They are appealing since you can get management experience while you are still a student.
The Culture
Yes, the social part was fantastic, probably because all of us are students.
55 pounds per week for accommodation so it was quite cheap.
The nightlife was quite good - I worked in Nottingham, but we didn't really have time and energy to go out much - twice during the whole summer probably.
There was a gym to which we all got involved in the beginning but in a few weeks we got so tired so we didn't go anymore.
