    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The role was different day to day, however several of the tasks were dull.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Only really realised this in the last couple of months as people initially seemed cold.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Not unless I asked for it. Other departments seemed to embrace their student more.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • After a settling in period of a couple of months I was stretched and did become busy.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not so much. After a couple of months I felt like I could of moved on.

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Not training as such, but the skills I've learnt will really help. I'm more determined now and will have a more disciplined/mature approach.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Departments were mostly cut off and segregated. Politics were frequent and people seemed quite cold throughout minus my dept who became more friendly after a couple of months.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The role has moved over to full time now, and they had that intention before I started. Generally, if you didn't ask you wouldn't get opportunities.

    2/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A couple of general courses, most was learnt as I went along.
