The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at Macmillan Cancer Support as the London Marathon intern.
I was given feedback and comments every day by my colleagues regarding my work ethic and hard work which made me feel like part of the team throughout the duration of the internship.
I was given all the support that was needed. It was also great to get support on the spot when I needed it rather that having to wait for people to help me.
I was giving the perfect balance, I often satyed late due to the work load I had created for myself but I was never bored.
I was given a fair amount of responsibilty whcih was what I wanted.
I found employment at the end of the internship which was only due to the opportunity I had through the work experience provided by Mamcillan Cancer Support.
The Company
Lively, friendly and proffessional. It was my first real office I had worked in and it set a very good first impression!
Really well orgabnised by both the line manager and internship manager who were in contact with each other and checking up on me!
Macmillan provided me with above and beyond the training I needed for the role and still managed to provide opportunities for me to increase my skillset and development.

Very VERY appealing, Macmillan Cancer Support is the one charity I want to work for and although I have found work at another charity, the thought of working at Macmillan again is one that really interests me!!!
The Culture
Yes and no, the opportunities were there, it was just unfortante that due to the number of other interns not everyone could manage social activities at anyone time!
Socialising was really good, again a friendly team that welcomed everyone along for lunches and drinks after work! Keeps motivation up!
Very good!
Yes, due to the nature of my team, events were always on the calender!
