The Role
I did enjoy this placement but I was not given enough work to do.
Colleagues were lovely to work with but would not give any responsibility to interns.
My manager was very supportive.
Very bored, I never had enough work to do. I would ask for more work but was hardly ever given anything additional to work on.
I was very willing to be given some responsibility and believe that this was clear to my manager but interns were never given any responsibility.
I got to attend some big events in Wales but it gave me experience of those individual events, rather than assist my studies.
The Company
The office was open plan and majority women. This created a friendly atmosphere.
It was organised ok but came down to not having enough work to keep me going through the placement.
There was lots of development offered initially but when I tried to utilize any training, colleagues were too busy.
Flexi Time
National Travel
I am quite interested in the organisation as I believe as an employee, you would be very valued and due to it being in the third sector, you would feel and like to think that your making a difference to people who need it.
The Culture
Lunch was the only social occasion I experienced during the internship
I live in the local area so was used to the cost of living.
The offices is based in a town which didnt have much of a nightlife, although there is lots of pubs.
I wasnt aware of any activities outside of work.
