    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great experience and had a good time, only wish I'd been given more responsibility to improve my experience.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Made some good mates there but none I'm still in touch with. All of the colleagues were nice enough and I felt a valuable part of the team.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had to go see him if I had any problems so unless it was absolutely necessary I tried to avoid bothering him. I would have liked more consistent meetings or just a five minute discussion every couple of weeks or month.

    2/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The balance was kept well with small tasks always being assigned to me. I would have liked maybe some more bigger tasks to do but then I'm not sure whether I would have been able to do it or whether my work would have been underwhelming.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • This was me main aggrovation with the placement. I was given menial tasks and then some bigger ones but they still weren't challenging enough for me.

    1/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Although the placement was not entirely related to my degree it was still worth doing and will look good to future employers.

    2/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I had a laugh with some of my colleagues and the time passed really quickly with hindsight.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Their Human Resources department is very well run and definitely one of the leading departments in the company.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I suppose accepting me onto a placement in the first place counts as developing me to some measures.

    3/5

  • Flexi Time

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Don't really think I would go back unless the job paid a lot.

    1/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • People were all bubbly and friendly which helped me settle in loads and kept the duration enjoyable.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is very expensive and so you need to watch your finances tightly.

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Great transport links to the city centre where there's the best night life in Europe and possibly the world.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Had tea with a few of my colleagues but not much.

    2/5
