The Role
The work was engaging and my team were fantastic. I really enjoyed the internship.
Could not feel more valued and supported.
Always there if I need them
As busy as I made myself. I did have set targets to aim for, but a lot of the work was self generated. This worked well for me. I could be super busy one day and take a slow day to do some admin later in the week.
As much or as little as I wanted. I was given a lot of opportunities to engage with the company on different levels.
I learnt a little about working independently and work based travel arrangements. As for more formal training, I learnt tons about the ins and outs of a charity organisation including their regional communication plan, something very helpful for my PR degree.
The Company
I worked from home so very cosy! When I did work on location with my team it was always very informative and relaxed.
Lots of formal training opportunities and a development plan to work towards.
All the opportunities I could ask for. I just wish I was a little less poorly during my time with them so I had some more time to make the most of everything. They really care about their interns

I know you have to have a lot of charity experience to work your way in. However I think the prospects are good and I'll be looking out for opportunities after I graduate. I will also continue to volunteer for them after my internship ends.
The Culture
I'm part of the Intern Social Committee - we haven't done tons yet, but we've got a few good things planned
Quite expensive to head up to UKO to socialize. Living is reasonable, I'm living at home with my parents.
I work from home - the area was not significant.
There are lots of opportunities at UKO, it's whether you are willing to travel in.
