The Role
Fantastic experience, would thoroughly recommend to anyone interested in Project management. Interesting work, great help from colleagues and learnt a lot!
My manager was fantastic, gave me the perfect blend of independence and guidance. The work I was given also had real value, which helps to make you feel that you are really part of the team and not just there to be looked after.
Manager had weekly meetings with me, and was in constant contact throughout the day. Couldn't have asked for more!
Always had work to be doing, perhaps first two weeks were slightly quieter but that was useful as allowed me to bed in.
Was allowed to manage project as I wanted to, and didn't feel micromanaged at all.
Only been back at university for 2 weeks, but found myself managing my time much better this year.
The Company
Very relaxed, open and fun. Really cool office design, and senior managers on same floor so didn't feel like a hierarchy. Social events and coffee breaks also built good team spirit.
Loads of events to build team spirit, clear plans and deadlines for work and speaker series organised so senior leaders could come to speak to us.
Was given regular progress reports to let me know my strengths and areas to improve on, and a big evaluation mid way and at the end of the programme. .
