The Role
I found it difficult due to the lack of personal transport and the distance between home and places we met. But the work I was given was challenging and fun and made me work hard to complete the tasks set.
They were always really helpful and encouraging and provided me the best help I could.
Always there to help and happy to do so.
On the days I was involved I was always very busy, with many different tasks I was meant to accomplish.
As much as I wanted on my task and was talked to like a colleague rather than an intern
Hugely helpful with learning new skills and all incredibly transferable to other areas in the future.
The Company
Sometimes it was quiet and concentrated due to the level of work that needed to be done but we could always speak and ask questions when needed.
I felt my immediate group was very good and made effective use of my time.
Development of skills was something I did on my own, and very little training was given at the beginning.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Working from home
I would very much like to do future work with Macmillan, potentially after my degree.
The Culture
I didn't get involved in any of the social offers as they were all so far away.
My area is hugely expensive and as the people in my group did not live close socializing with work colleagues didn't occur.
Good.
A few, however, none where in an area very close to me.
