The Role
I have really enjoyed my time at Macmillan Cancer Support.
Right from the start of my internship I felt like a valued member of the team. Everyone is so friendly and were always willing to help me when I had questions.
My manager provided me with a lot of support right from the start. We had weekly catch up sessions where I was given the opportunity to discuss how I am getting on with my internship.
I had a variety of projects during my internship which meant that I always had something to do. My manager checked in with me every week to see how I was progressing and whether I was happy with my workload.
I was quite surprised how much responsibility I was given by my managers but this was great as I have learnt so much.
Macmillan has provided me with an invaluable experience and has allowed me to develop my Marketing skills.
The Company
It was nice and relaxed. Everyone is so lovely (and there is always some cake going around too!).
The internship is well set up and there was an induction day with all of the interns at the start which was a nice way to meet everyone.
Whilst doing the internship, all interns have access to the internal vacancy list.
The Culture
Some of the interns regularly met up for lunch and there were a few social events too.
