The Role
I really enjoyed my internship, I was given a variety of work which I found interesting.
I felt valued by all my colleagues and felt that my work was appreciated and that I was a valued member of the team.
If I had any questions I felt comfortable in asking and had regular catch ups and meetings.
Towards the start I was extremely busy and had lots to do, as the internship went on I became less busy - but there was always plenty for me to do!
I was given quiet a lot of responsibility, I had to contact external companies on behalf of Macmillan and was left to do this.
I felt it was a valuable experience and will help me when applying for future jobs, I learnt what I like to do and that I would really like to go into the charity sector.
The Company
Friendly, passionate, driven.
The internship was very organised. We had an internship induction day, then inductions with everyone in the team, a development plan and regular catch ups and meetings to see how we were getting on.
I was given a development plan with key targets to reach, I was able to refer back to this and see how I could improve/develop my skills over the course of my internship.
Always lots of job opportunities and heard lots of success stories with previous interns gaining full time positions.
The Culture
Yes, a social committee with regular socials and lunches together :)
London so fairly high, but lunches and travel costs were reimbursed.
Not much night life but short distance from central london and lots to do.
Yes, netball team, intern socials.
