  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed it very much, I was never bored.

  • From the moment I started I felt a part of the team, everyone was welcoming.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Both my manager and my mentor were very supportive, and encourgaed me to devlop my skills more. Other members of the team I worked in were also very supportive.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • On most days, I had a lot of work and it was very busy. But there were a few odd days where I had finished my work and didn't know what to do with myself.

  • I was given a moderate amount of responsibilty which I expected.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As I am doing an events management degree this internship was perfect as it is an event marketing internship. This is an area I would like to go into when I graduate and my dissertation will be on the promotion of events.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It's very calm and relaxed. It's not stressful or intimidating and I felt at ease.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was vey organised, a lot of the paper work was already done for me when I arrived (this includes setting up an expense account and mentoring forms). If I needed to book a meeting it was vey easy to do from my computer and the admin team are very organised when it came to booking train tickets and meetings.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A lot of the training was online but if I needed help I was given it very easily.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • It is very appealing as it would be interesting to work in head office in the future, however I would like to try work in other sectors to see the difference.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, the other intern in the office was very nice and easy to get along with.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Moderatly well.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • None, the nearest area to go out would be Cardiff.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not really for regional interns as majority of activities and socials were in London and it is a long way to just go for a few hours.
