The Role
Great atmosphere and environment at work.
This was dependent on the tasks at hand, so it changed from day to day.
My direct line manager was always available if i needed anything, and overall everyone at the office provided support whenever i needed it.
The day can get very busy, but this requires some personal drive to find work which is due to the nature of the job. From a business perspective it's hard to give full responsibility to placement student due to the short term duration we are here. However, work is always there.
There was a steep learning process from the beginning, especially about the internal processes and the role itself, so the first 1-3 month i wasn't busy at all.
I feel like this experience has prepared me much better for my final year at the university, and it was a great insight into engineering industry, as well as a great insight into purchasing and supply chain management. Some of the modules i learned at University were very relevant to this job role.
The Company
It was a nice relaxed environment, everyone seemed happy most of the time, and there was nice team spirit from my point of view.
I think the learning process could be cut shorter if there were to give high levels of responsibility from day one. As this would force you to learn the systems and processes much quicker. This is crucial, because majority of tasks required understanding of Visteon processes and procedures.
The company gave me a great opportunity to learn, and to apply some of the skills i gained during my time at the University. It also developed other areas which i know will be important in my future career.

The Culture
Majority of the students were friendly and genuine nice people.
Public transportation is expensive, buses are always delayed :) So finding a place closer to work is very important. I didn't have the above mentioned points, because i managed to find a place walking distance to work.
There's loads of bars and clubs in town as well as student nights out, and Chelmsford is not far from London.
Yes, because of the flexible working time. The job provides enough flexibility to have enough time to do other things outside of work.
