The Role
An excellent place to work, with a business that looks after their employees.
Colleagues here are very much a team and will often go out of their way to help you directly or point you in the right direction.
Frequent informal reviews of work and process helped me evaluate how I go about my work and why. What can be improved and what was working well.
I've been busy, but haven't struggled with the workload. Once all the reactive tasks are complete there is always room for proactive improvement, with the freedom and encouragement to do so.
I was given tasks, helped on projects and were even given my own to run. A full variety with enough responsibility to progress professionally but never feeling too out of my depth.
This placement has given me business insight that I didn't know I was missing. Prepared me for the future and even informed of all the different areas I could go into with my degree. It will certainly prove invaluable with final year approaching.
The Company
Relaxed with a good work/social balance.
With a copious amount of material on the company intranet and an easily approachable manager, I was never confused.
with a section of the office being a University the training facilities are excellent. With internal and external trainers they really do encourage your personal and professional development.

There is always the chance to work with them, however possibly on a contractor basis.
The Culture
With many of the students living together, there's always something happening. Frequent social events are planned. Although I commute in and couldn't always attend these, I never felt like an outsider when I did attend.
Due to the wage provided everything was manageable and affordable. This was especially helped by a reduced in office gym and meal options at lunch.
A few local pubs were the catalyst for night-life.
Charities, social and work events are frequently on the go.
