The Role
I enjoyed it so much I plan to stay on and volunteer one day a week to keep in contact, help out and fill the gap between having finished university and getting a full time job.
I felt included in the team from my very first day
Any questions I had were answered easily and I never felt afraid to ask.
Each day brought variety, so some days were busier than others but there was always something to keep me busy!
I felt I was given the right amount of responsibility, not too much but enough to give me a great.experience.
Nowadays you need experience no matter what qualifications you have so this internship has definitely provided me with skills for life due to the wide variety of tasks I was able to do.
The Company
Although we were all busy, we were always able to find time to have a chat/catch up.
Generally very good. The link between the north and south interns could do with being thought about though.
Based on my experience, I would be very happy to work with Macmillan despite it having no relation to my degree.
The Culture
As I was based in the North and most interns were in London, it was difficult to really get to know any of them. Even so, there was opportunity to socialise with my team by going out for lunch etc.
