The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Macmillan. The projects were varied and interesting, I was able to work with people across different departments and the work environment was ideal.
Colleagues were always friendly and extremely helpful in developing my skills and career opportunities.
My line manager is fantastic - she is always clear with instructions and gave me support throughout. The rest of the team were so helpful with interview prep for job applications.
I was never bored and enjoyed being busier in the later weeks of the internship.
I appreciated that the team were confident in giving me tasks for their partners.
The skills I developed are perfect for my next role and has helped me become more knowledgeable in the career path I am taking.
The Company
It was a great atmosphere, well balanced between efficient work and being sociable.
Very well run, it definitely helped to have an internships and placements manager to help you in this area.
I did not expect the extent of the personal development and opportunities I would receive from this internship. I received a lot of help from my department to develop very transferable skills in any job.

The Culture
It was great to have other interns in the department as well as socials with other interns after work.
It's very convenient to commute to as it is walking distance from home and great pubs nearby.
There are plenty of pubs and places to eat in the area.
Socials with the team and interns were available frequently.
