  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Macmillan. The projects were varied and interesting, I was able to work with people across different departments and the work environment was ideal.

  • Colleagues were always friendly and extremely helpful in developing my skills and career opportunities.

  • My line manager is fantastic - she is always clear with instructions and gave me support throughout. The rest of the team were so helpful with interview prep for job applications.

  • I was never bored and enjoyed being busier in the later weeks of the internship.

  • I appreciated that the team were confident in giving me tasks for their partners.

  • The skills I developed are perfect for my next role and has helped me become more knowledgeable in the career path I am taking.

  • It was a great atmosphere, well balanced between efficient work and being sociable.

  • Very well run, it definitely helped to have an internships and placements manager to help you in this area.

  • I did not expect the extent of the personal development and opportunities I would receive from this internship. I received a lot of help from my department to develop very transferable skills in any job.

  • It's a great charity to work for and would love to come back in the future.

  • It was great to have other interns in the department as well as socials with other interns after work.

  • It's very convenient to commute to as it is walking distance from home and great pubs nearby.

  • There are plenty of pubs and places to eat in the area.
